3.7.18(b) (tableaus on pages 103–105; lecture 5C),
3.7.31 (lectures 5C & 8A),
4.6.19 (lecture 6),
4.6.24 (should find optimal solution after 2 pivots; lecture 6),
4.6.42 (lecture 5A).
In addition, read Chapters 3 and 4 from the text.

Solving the homework problems (and other problems from the text) will improve your understanding of the material.

Working out the problems yourself will greatly improve your understanding of the material and help you on the exams.

You can ask questions on piazza, in addition to using office hours or email.

Exam 1 is on Tuesday, October 3. It will cover the material in Lectures 1–9. You can bring one sheet of handwritten notes, no larger than 8.5” × 11”. Old exams are available on LMS.
